Greece & the Marathon

November 2019

For my second marathon, I was determined to run the OG, the one all marathons were resultingly named for, the one where the sentinel died at the end. I traveled solo to Greece to run the original route from Marathon to Athens. I carried this olive branch the whole way.

Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

August 2017

I’d always wanted to embark on this particular pilgrimage, so when a friend asked me to join, I was there. We hiked the 27 miles to 14,000 feet of elevation, spending most of our time rain-drenched but ecstatic to be following in Indiana Jones’ footsteps.

Solo Oregon Road Trip

September 2016

With only my dog as a companion, I camped and hiked my way through central Oregon’s dense forests, a quick dip in Crater Lake and the moon-drenched joy of camping on the beach.

The Great American Road Trip

Summer 2014

The summer after senior year, we lived in a car for a month, ate a lot of deli turkey and witnessed indescribable beauty across the country’s varied and extensive parks and landmarks. #bestiesgowesties

Study Abroad in Florence, Italy

2012

Three months living in one of Europe’s cultural epicenters; this was the view from outside our apartment. I explored five new countries and coined my travel mantra: there’s always room in the budget for gelato. I can speak un pochissimo italiano, best when wine-fueled.
